NOTES & FOLLOW-UP:
Not only do we have the largest ozone “hole” on record above the Arctic, we have Enviroment Canada refusing to allow a key Canadian scientist to speak about it. We also have Enviroment Canada shuting down our ozone monitoring network, putting an end to continuous ozone measurements that go back 45 years. Oh yes, they are also looking for the whistleblower who dares to speak the truth about what they are doing. Pretty shameful if you ask me.
The Canadian Civil Liberties Association is opposing federal bill C-4 that would allow the Imigration Minister to order the detention and imprisonment people seeking refugee status. While human smuggling is a serious issue, it does not justify constitutional and international law violations. more details here.
“It’s time to put human health ahead of asbestos” over 200 health advocates tell Prime Minister Harper. 140 MPs in the House of Commons oppose the use and export of asbestos. Only 15 MORE MPs are needed to have a majority. Any group wishing to approach Larry Miller or other MPs? Look here for help.
So what is Cinema Politica Grey/Bruce anyway and why was it formed? read more here.
The new 211 service provides an easy to recall 24-hour telephone number for everyone to get information on community services. If you prefer, you can try the website http://211greycounty.ca/.
Remember. When your day is done, you won’t be judged by what you read, but by what you did.
