10:00-12:30 Science and Technology Discrepent Events for all levels - Presenter: Ross Haley
Need something to add ‘zip’ to your S&T lessons? Need something to fill in blank time spaces? Need something to ‘hook’ your students to a deeper understanding of S&T? A series of demos will be presented using found and purchased materials.

Engaging Students Through Technology – Presenter: Sue Continelli
As technology advances and the needs of our students change, so to should our instructional tools. This course will examine the characteristic of the 21st Century Learner and focus on demonstrating how easily technology can be integrated into various areas of the curriculum in order to motivate and engage students along with maximize their learning. We will explore technology resources that support authentic student centered learning, share projects and rubrics that have been created according to the expectations of the curriculum and work collaboratively to plan activities that can be used in our classrooms. You will walk away with numerous ideas and practical projects that work with students.
1:30 – 3:30 p.m. Assessment and Evaluation - IN ACTION!
This session will give participants a chance to become more familiar with the assessment tools that are currently being used in elementary classrooms. There will be an opportunity to investigate how to plan for effective instruction using the backward design model and see how it connects with assessment tools.
