We now have a new page in the right-hand column under Departments, called Websites of Note. When you come across a helpful, inspiring or practical website that you think might be of interest to other OTs, please let us know about it. The Contact Us link provides a direct comment to us and makes a quick job of sharing.
Marcy our PD Coordinator wrote to share a great link that she found about Anaphylaxis and Sabrina’s Law. It’s a brief and informative website by the Ontario government with the essentials about Anaphylaxis, how to recognize symptoms and what to do in an emergency situation.
There is also a new ETFO website designed particularly for Occasional Teachers that offers information and resources that you can use on a daily basis.
Speaking of sharing…the Occasional Teacher folder on BEAM is a great place to ask questions of your OT colleagues or offer tips and techniques that you have found successful. Makes the folder a much more interesting place to drop into when everyone feels free to contribute. This folder is specifically for Occasional Teachers…only OTs will have that folder on their BEAM desktops.
Wishing you all the SmartFind calls you can handle!
