We understand the confusion that members may have concerning taking further courses at this time since learning of the current government’s proposal to freeze all grid movement after our contracts expire August 31, 2012. We can only act on what is factual at present and therefore encourage members to pursue their plans to take AQ courses with full expectation of receiving recognition for those completed prior to August 31, 2012.

All Bluewater Occasional Teachers are invited to join the Grey Bruce Labour Council in marking the Day of Mourning on April 27th in Owen Sound.

The Ontario Federation of Labour has called for a Day of Action Against Cuts on April 21, 2012 from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. at Queen’s Park.

The ETFO Provincial Executive has endorsed the Day of Action and is encouraging locals to participate in any way they can.
